Who is Tope Brass? Her Journey so far..Her Career, Family and all.


Tope Brass, the Producer of the Movie, ODASAN (Futile) to be Premiered tomorrow Friday 7th December 2013 at Venues 94, 94 Burnt Oak Broadway, Burnt Oak Edware London HA8 0BE has been in the Entertainment industry for over 2 decades but not known to many people. Here is her journey so far. Enjoy... 
Born Temitope Adediwura Ogunleye, Tope Brass as she is fondly come to be known by her showbiz pals and fans alike, is a Nigerian actress. She is an all round showbiz personality. She is a trained broadcaster, actress, blogger, former model, businesswoman and most recently produced her own movie. She is also a Registered Nurse in the UK. In August 2001 she married Alaba Odeyemi a politician and businessman. They have two kids.
 Career
She began her career in 1990 at 13, when she made guest appearances on one of Nigeria’s best soaps- Ripples. She then went on to act in Fortunes, another Nigerian soap opera in 1993. She starred in one of the very first, best and most talked about movie that ever came out of Nollywood, Glamour girls 2, produced by Kenneth Nnebue and directed by Christian Onu in 1997, Deborah and the Dragon (1996), Haunted (1998), Gone too soon (1999)and Fast Cash 1 and 2. She has appeared in more than 20 films in a variety of genres, including Body of Vengeance (1996), Deadly Passion 1 1996) and Thorns of Roses (1997).
She has presented a number of music, sports and news programs on different television stations before she started work as a full time presenter for Minaj Broadcast International (MBI). She is a voiceover actor and was a Radio DJ at N-Power Radio in London. She has also walked some of the best catwalks in Africa and some parts of the world. Tope got the name “Brass” in 1999, after a near death experience on a fashion trip to Brass, an island in Bayelsa state and the name has stuck ever since.
 Family and early life
Tope Brass was born in Lagos, Nigeria to the late Chief Anthony Ogunleye who hailed from Owo, Ondo State and ran a marble and granite company at Ilupeju Industrial Estate and Ibiwunmi Ogunleye, a business woman.
At the time Tope started acting, the creative acts was frowned upon by some well educated parents, who loved nothing better than for their kids to gain a degree in courses such as medicine and law. Tope attended Methodist Girls High School Lagos and went on to study for her OND and HND qualifications in Financial studies and accounting at the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, Ogun State and then Lagos City Polytechnic, Lagos (one of the first private higher institutions in Nigeria). Tope majored in Presenting at the Federal Radio Corporation Of Nigeria Training School Ikeja/Oregun in 1999 and another from the Aylesbury Media Project, London. She was best friends with Ramsey Noah growing up, whom she introduced to the acting scene in Nigeria.
She also has a Bsc (Hons) in General Nursing from the University of Greenwich, London.
