The award-winning noted playwright, Ola Rotimi, in this play, takes a comic swipe at ideological misfits and opportunists who strut the ever-accomodating political landscape of contemporary Africa. A former military major, takes to politics. His motives have far more to do with vanity than patriotism, and his attempt to adapt to a situation he hardly comprehends produce highly comic results. His predicament is complicated by the unexpected arrival of his American wife who discovers two more marriages contracted without her knowledge and her husband beset by political problems.

Tinsel's 1000 autograph signing session in Abuja & PortHarcourt Nigeria to mark the 1000th successful episodes of what I regard one of the best soap of our time in Nigeria. 

The Earliest Seasons of this fantastic production is being aired by 2 of our popular African TV Channels in the UK, African Channel, Sky Channel 209 (Monday-Friday, 6:30pm & Omnibus on Saturday, 12:30-2:30) and Nollywood Movies Sky Channel 329 (Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 6:30pm & Omnibus on Sunday, 5.45pm-7pm) respectively.

A lot of good things have been happening to the cast of Tinsel, so I heard...for the past 6 years they have been on. Celebrating the 1000th episode is such an amazing experience!
